Stand
Against Industrialisation
We are a collective of creatives coming together to build a campaign of awareness in Wales, UK, opposing the industrialisation of these magical ancient lands, driven by corporate greed.

Campaign
Here Be Dragons is a campaign that aims to bring attention to the enormous turbine parks and pylon lines that are threatening devastation to our uplands, across Wales.
We have mapped out our campaign to stretch across 2026 with our short film being the first major drop.
Our campaign is intended to unify and amplify the many local campaign groups across wales doing the hard graft against this destruction.

Creatives
We are a collective of creatives from accross Wales, who have come together with a joint desire to protect and support this ancient beautiful land.
We have Film makers, singer song writers, writers, actors and artists on our team.
We are all working on a voluntary basis, this is a project of passion and belief that we can make a fairer world.
If you feel called to offer your skills or support creatively please get in touch.
We would love to hear from you.

Short Film
As a collective we are creating a short film to raise awareness about the threat we face here in Wales.
This is being designed and dreamt in by some of Wales' most prestigious contemporary artists.
It's aim is to remind us of our deep connection to the land and our roots.
This is the first major aspect of our campaign and will be released at the end of March.
Our Vision
We unite artists, musicians, and creatives to protect Wales' heritage.
Through collaboration, we raise awareness and inspire action.
Together, we can make a difference.
We had a dream, for our hill tops to be celebrated by song, with the truest of deep callings from these lands, that of ancestral wisdom and connection to the rugged, raw beauty that we are surrounded by.
To remind us all of what is most precious and dear to our hearts- to remind us to stand up for that which we love.
We have some of our most prominent Welsh musicians and visionaries working to create a collaborated short film.
With our collective passion to save Wales from plans that are advancing for developments of unprecedented industrial scale, in the shape of vast turbine arrays, pylons, roads, substations, and even AI data centres, we are fired up.
These proposals risk transforming some of the most ancient and culturally significant parts of Wales into industrial zones, with little regard for the communities who live in their shadow or the deep heritage that these lands hold.
This fight is not just about pylons and turbines, it echoes Wales’ long history of being treated as a resource colony. From the toxic waste scandals that scarred our valleys to decades of decisions made far from here, our land and people have too often paid the price for profit elsewhere.
We believe this moment demands a different path, one that honours Wales as a living culture, not a sacrifice zone.

This is not a protest.
It is not a campaign of outrage.
It is a cultural movement — elegant, resolute, and unapologetically Welsh — calling for an energy transition grounded in care, consent, and intelligence rather than haste and extraction.
Deeper Dive
Explore the threat we are facing in more detail:

Legal Action
Communities across rural Wales have taken a stand for fairness, safety, and respect.
300 farmers and landowners have launched High Court legal action against Green GEN Cymru, which challenges what we believe to be unlawful access to private land, intimidation, and a complete disregard for basic rights and biosecurity.
Read all about it here:

Ecology
As well as being a Trustee and Secretary of the Cambrian Mountains Society, Lorna Brazell knows a great deal about the generation of electricity using wind turbines. The threat of the construction of dozens of 200 metre tall turbines in the unspoilt Cambrian Mountains of mid-Wales has set all the alarm bells ringing. Learn the shocking facts in this video.
Thanks to the Caru Teifi Ceredigeon campaign group you can view a live map of the proposed parks and pylon lines here.

Science
There are many reasons the proposed energy parks are highly destructive to our land and communities.
One of the emergent problems that is being researched is infrasound. You can watch prof.Ken Mattsson deliver his paper here.
And here- Michael's Story a 5 min film about a man who was so affected by a local turbine infrasound, he had to move house.

Protection
There are many groups across Wales who are working tirelessly to safeguard our countryside, our biodiversity, our rivers and our landscapes.
Community groups have come together from across Wales and launched A Charter for a Just Transition to Net Zero, calling on the Welsh and UK Governments to ensure that renewable energy development is delivered fairly, transparently and with genuine community consent.
